Low-Dose Radiation Therapy (LDRT) is an emerging modality for managing benign inflammatory conditions such as arthritis. Accurate and reproducible patient immobilization and positioning are essential to optimize treatment delivery, minimize dose to surrounding healthy tissues, and ensure therapeutic efficacy. This session reviews the principles and practical considerations of immobilization techniques specific to LDRT for arthritis, highlighting the customization of devices based on anatomical site and patient comfort. Emphasis is placed on best practices for joint stabilization and reproducibility across treatment fractions.
This class offers 1 CE credit (ARRT & MDCB). A certificate will be emailed to the participant upon successful course and quiz completion.
